That's me wearing the lace kippah. But I would caution that, in contrast to what the article says, we had a lot of police protection and needed it. The police officers formed a human chain blocking us from the other women, and even then, we were pushed, kicked, spat upon, and jeered at. They screamed to drown out the sound of our davening more or less throughout the service. Afterward we were escorted out a side exit by the police, onto a waiting bus. I'm not sure where this reporter was, but I would certainly have preferred to have had such a pleasant experience.
